Shipping & Receiving Lead
The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and safely. This role provides direction and support to shipping and receiving team members, coordinates workflow priorities, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and safety standards. The Shipping & Receiving Lead serves as a key point of communication between warehouse personnel, production, customer service, and management to support on-time delivery and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role requires light to moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the facility. Operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment is required. Eye, ear, hand, and footwear protection are required in designated areas.

The Position: We’re looking for full-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping Operations
- Coordinate and oversee daily shipping activities to ensure on-time and accurate shipments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, banding, labeling, loading, and completion of shipping documentation.
- Verify customer orders, shipping quantities, and special instructions prior to shipment.
- Ensure all products are packaged securely and comply with customer and company requirements.
- Schedule freight pickups and communicate with carriers as needed.
- Troubleshoot shipping discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Receiving Operations
- Oversee receiving activities, including unloading, inspection, and proper storage of incoming materials and products.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams regarding shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies.
- Ensure all received materials are accurately entered into inventory systems.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate finished goods and raw material inventory using FIFO practices.
- Monitor inventory transactions and ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Investigate and communicate inventory discrepancies to management.
- Support inventory organization and material flow improvements.
Leadership and Team Support
- Provide daily direction, training, and support to shipping and receiving personnel.
- Assist in assigning workloads and prioritizing tasks to meet operational demands.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Train team members on proper shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety procedures.
- Support management in maintaining departmental productivity and performance standards.
Warehouse Organization and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas.
- Ensure fire exits, aisles, and work areas remain clear and accessible.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Enforce compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and OSHA requirements.
- Identify and communicate safety concerns or operational improvement opportunities.
