Groundskeeper (Part-Time)

Responsible for maintaining the landscaping and grounds in a presentable fashion. Additionally, producing usable, quality material from scrap products produced during plastic extrusion manufacturing.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

  1. Safely operate mowers, snow blowers, basic hand, and power tools.
  2. Control weed and insect population with appropriate tools and/or chemicals.
  3. Rake leaves and other vegetation from grounds.
  4. Remove trash and other debris from outdoor areas.
  5. Segregate the different types of scrap products to be reground.
  6. Determine weight of scrap on weight scales and maintain a written record of the amount of scrap ground.
  7. Operate the scrap grinding equipment and feed scrap product into the grinder.
  8. Ability to operate forklifts and other lifting equipment.
  9. Break down empty gaylords.
  10. Work in close proximity to power granulating equipment and high decibel noise emission for extended periods. (required to wear proper PPE)
  11. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  12. Follow all safety requirements of this position.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience such as lawn care and snow removal preferred.
