Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for the identification, analyzation, and implementation of process enhancements. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, optimize workflows, and streamline operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1.  Conducts analysis of manufacturing process to identify inefficiencies and area for improvement.
  2. Develops and implements strategies to optimize workflows, reduce lead times, and enhance efficiency.
  3. Establishes key performance indicators and monitors performance metrics to drive data-driven decision-making.
  4. Utilize Lean methodology to identify and eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process stability.
  5. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Maintenance to understand current processes and drive improvements. 
  6. Commitment to the Company’s safety and quality programs.

Necessary Qualifications

  1. Technical diploma in Business, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or other program preferred.
  2. At least two years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  5. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  6.  Adaptable – adjusts to changing demands, priorities, and objectives.

Physical Demands

Engineers have direct contact with production following the creation of product from start to finish. Eye, ear, and footwear protection are required in the manufacturing areas of the facility.
