Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organizations facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and working with maintenance personnel. The Maintenance Supervisor must ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime. This person requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. They must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

PROJECT MANAGER POSITION

The Location: Wisconsin Plastic Products, Inc. is located in Plymouth, WI.

Job Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift

Pay: $80,000 – $85,000

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1. A degree in electrical, and industrial maintenance or equivalent of work experience required.
2. At least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience; with a background in production maintenance.
3. At least 2 years experience in staff management and development is required.
4. Strong math and computer skills.
5. Dedicated and takes pride in providing a high level of detail towards equipment maintenance, projects, general housekeeping and maintaining all shop areas in a neat and organized fashion.
6. Manufacturing, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills required.
7. Knowledge of equipment used in the plastic extrusion industry is preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Essential Functions: 

1. Motivate, support and provide guidance to maintenance staff.
2. Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
3. Ensure that spare parts, components, and tools needed for maintenance are always available by ordering, forecasting, and monitoring material inventories.
4. Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
5. Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical repair manuals, and electrical prints.
6. Must be able to operate a forklift and scissor lift.
7. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
8. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
9. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
10. Knowledge of the principles of electricity, PLC controls, switch gears, power distribution and mechanics.

11. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
12. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
