Material Grinder

The Material Grinder is responsible for processing scrap plastic material into reusable, quality material to support production operations. This role involves operating grinding equipment, segregating and cleaning scrap materials, and maintaining a clean and organized scrap holding area while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

MATERIAL GRINDER POSITION

The Location: Wisconsin Plastic Products, Inc. is located in Plymouth, WI.
Job Type: Part-Time

QUALIFICATIONS

– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Minimum of 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience preferred.
– Ability to safely operate forklifts and lifting equipment.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
– Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires light to moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly requires standing, sitting, reaching, and moving about the facility. Eye, ear, and footwear protection are required in designated areas.

The Position: We’re looking for a part-time Material Grinder

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Processing
– Segregate and prepare different types of scrap materials for regrind.
– Clean scrap material to prevent contamination with foreign objects or dirt.
– Use saws and other equipment to cut up scrap material as needed.
– Weigh scrap on scales and maintain accurate records of material processed.
– Operate grinding equipment and feed scrap into the grinder.

2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance
– Safely operate forklifts and other lifting equipment as needed.
– Operate power grinding equipment and hand tools.
– Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on grinding equipment.

3. Organization and Housekeeping
– Maintain a clean and organized scrap holding area.
– Break down empty gaylords and dispose of them properly.
– Assist with cartons, skids, and general housekeeping in the plant.

4. Safety and Compliance
– Work in close proximity to grinding equipment and high-noise areas while wearing proper PPE.
– Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
– Ensure compliance with company quality standards in all activities.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
