Sales/Project Manager

The Sales/Project Manager is responsible for developing new and existing customer relationships through the promotion of niche profile extrusion processes offered by Wisconsin Plastic Products, Inc. The person in this role will manage customer interaction for all new products and projects from origination to production pass off. This position will be responsible for maintaining acceptable gross margins with pricing updates and/or continuous improvement efforts conducted by the team.


Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferably within plastic profile extrusion
  • 1-5 years of custom profile extrusion sales experience
  • Basic CAD experience
  • Existing client base or intel for potential customers requiring profile extrusion
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Leadership/People management skills


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities
    • Develop quotations for opportunities spawned from digital marketing and sales representation agencies
    • Perform diligent follow-up on open quotations
    • Manage product pricing as internal and external cost variables change
    • Participate in executive level meetings
    • Conduct weekly meetings to monitor open project progress
    • Negotiate supply agreements for new customers
    • Serve as a technical resource to customers and sales representation network
    • Develop an understanding of core customer’s needs and growth opportunities
    • Develop and deliver presentations
    • Develop supplier relationships when required
    • Provide coaching and conflict resolution for issues that arise with customer service team
    • Lead the companies digital marketing campaign
    • Travel for in person customer visits
    • Prepare documentation and participate in bi-annual strategic planning initiatives

    Necessary Qualifications

    • Must possess a good understanding of the plastic profile extrusion process
    • Should have a working knowledge base for polymers commonly used in plastic profile extrusion
    • Highly skilled within the Microsoft Office suite
    • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiar with the interpretation of blueprints
    • Must be able to navigate within a team dynamic
