Customer Service Representative

The customer service representative is responsible for providing customer service to customers and brokers from the placement of the order until shipment. The person in this role will respond to all internal and external customers by using excellent in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as, communicating effectively with team members. This position is a key role in maintaining a positive and productive relationship between Wisconsin Plastic Products, Inc. and our customers.

Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some work in the manufacturing environment may be required. Eye and ear protection are required in the manufacturing areas of the facility.

Qualifications/Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent and two years of previous customer service experience required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable – adjusts to changing demands, priorities, and objectives.
  • Dedicated and takes pride in providing a high level of detail towards projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with at least 3 years’ experience utilizing Excel, Word and Outlook.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data entry of customer orders into ERP software system.
  • Call customers and brokers when necessary to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders.
  • Accurately enters sales orders, processes acknowledgments, purchase orders (email, mail or fax) and shipping papers.
  • Processes invoices and receipts for commissions and accounts payable/receivable accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete job orders for production scheduling manufacturing work flow.
  • Consistent contact with customers: responds to emails, phone messages, provide quotes, shipping details, and all customer correspondence.
  • Informs customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by the customer.
  • Utilizes established software program to verify or create customer account, maintain documentation of past orders, quotes, and pricing with high degree of accuracy.
  • Prepare shipments and billing paperwork upon completion of order.
  • Audits all orders, checks to see if revision changes have occurred and process accordingly.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as: purchase orders, bills of lading, invoices, etc.
  • Improve and maintain customer accounts by developing strong understanding of their needs and providing critical link to scheduling and production.
  • Builds strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention by providing an amazing customer experience.
  • Maintains professional, courteous demeanor and interaction with internal and external customers, develops rapport and anticipates needs.
